Do not get me wrong my love
Don't misunderstand my words
They are as sincere as wishes
Whispered on a New Year's Eve
With a throbbing heart.
Trust me, you'll be better of with him !
And as for me - well ...
I'm just a vagabond,
an unsettled spirit.
I could only take you out
On a wild field of heather
So that we could both forget
What age we are living in
And forget the year and season
And lose track of passing hours.
