What do you mean? 'chickenShorts' is a username of a poster posting on this
forum, a 'nick', in other words... Who's behind it? And who's asking?
      • Gość: edi Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.chello.pl 13.12.02, 23:07
i've been reading your posts here and i already like you :-) thought i'd let
        you know :-)

Beginning of the relationship. Like leads to love and then a marriage.
Here comes I, Rev. Reverend Reverend. I will tie that knot for you.
Have your wedding bands ready. I do house calls, so don't be bashful, call me
          anytime.
          • Gość: chickenShorts Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.abo.wanadoo.fr 14.12.02, 08:50
            edi,
thank you for sticking out for me.(BTW, how much weight does this liking
carry?) Of course, I like being liked; at the same time though I recognise the
dangers this little weakness can lead to.

            Rev,
what denomination are you, Meth., Evangelical...?
            • Gość: edi Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.chello.pl 14.12.02, 13:08
              chickenShorts,

what dangers are you talking about?

              :-)
            • Gość: Rev. Reverend Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.nyc.rr.com 14.12.02, 19:13
Any denomination you like. Doing house calls I have to be resilient.
I do even nondenominational denomination. 230 lb, but I can hike it up if
              necessary.

                Rev,
you obviously know very well by now, that I would never say 'Yes' to you tying
a knot on my shoe laces, let alone a marital knot... Nothing personal! Just
                ideological differences...

                edi,
relax man. It was a joke! Liking is what I like! Go on, like me... More, more!!!
                • Gość: edi Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.chello.pl 15.12.02, 10:56

                  chickenShorts

do you think I was that much serious?
If you can't name the dangers liking can lead to I assume there aren't any so
                  why are you so cautious?

and you too relax like I did before you answer :-)

                  • Gość: chickenShorts Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.abo.wanadoo.fr 15.12.02, 12:13
...ah, but I can name the dangers that liking being liked can lead to...
We all go for what's pleasant and avoid what's not... One tends to cling to and
grasp at what brings nice sensations, pleasurable feelings... One forgets they
are, like everything else, insubstancial and subject to change! Frustration,
disappointment even anger are looming on horizon...Uh, huh...
Another thing and closer to 'home' is that erwas may get envious and quite
nasty... Yet, another, I may loose mental balance and go for whipping up
applause instead of working for humankind's future happiness as was my aim,
                    initially...
Besides, Mrs chickenShorts is prone to bouts of...misunderstandings...

But I'll be strong, so, all in all... as they say... really...don't get
                    discouraged!
                    • Gość: edi Re: who is chickenShorts??! IP: *.chello.pl 15.12.02, 12:25

this is unbelievable but for the first i was soo wrong!

anyhow, i still like you though my liking has somehow changed :-)

Well, buying 'stuff' and accepting services are not the same things, are
they? On the Wings subject - you are not a right-winger, you are a Wrong-
winger! Now, I don't want to get into that blah, blah again, but let me
illustrate my point with this... How can I take seriously a Rev. who doesn't
take seriously ethical arguments, but takes seriously - indeed, calls him
a 'skilful player' - a man who publicly,in front of the world declared that

Well, I don't know. Was it a joke? I can see plenty of jokes on TV every day.
Nobody goes to federal Grand Jury over it.
According to AP story the witnesses didn't take it as a joke. Probably Mr.
Humphreys went a little too far with advocating pouring a flamable liquid over
the president and lighting it up. I'd let him off the hook.
Freedom of speach does not include advocating an asassination. On the other
hand I think the guy is posessed with hatred and needs a psychiatric
examination. Let him walk. Non issue.
