      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_grammar
Polecam wikipedie rowniez do czytania o historii. Humoru tam nie za wiele, ale
      interesujace to jest na pewno.

Each and every student of English is now going to laugh his/her ass off but... I
recommend: Robert Rodman, Victoria Fromkin - An Introduction to Language :-)

        - good academic English
        - interesting
        - witty + funny at times

Bo lektura obowiazkowa na 1-szym roku anglistyki. Przynajmniej u nas. Kazdy
musial "fromkina" przerobic. Ale ksiazeczka jest naprawde wporzo - o gramatyce
            opisowej. :-)

Sth? I'm a native English speaker and "sth" confused me for a while (Never seen
that abbreviation before). You'd be better off just saying "something".

It's a "dictionary" version of "something". Just as "sb" is "somebody" :-) Quite
        useful in teaching.
I've even come across "smth" and "smb" versions :-)

Ah, that would make sense. Still, in my opinion abbreviations like that affect
readability, and are best used only when letters are at a premium (like in
          dictionaries, or text messages).

          Just a thought.

        sheer curiosity
what did you take it for?

Nothing really. I guess I my first thought was that it was an Internet TLA
(Three Letter Acronym ;-) ) like "lol" or "imo", as opposed to an abbreviation.

'Watching the English. The hidden rules of English behaviour' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Really funny and clever book written by a popular english anthropologist Kate
Fox on 'Englishness', so it's about langugage as well.
