Why here!?!?

I was wondering why anyone would want to communicate only with Polish
speakers of English. Isn't it rather better to use an international forum to
practse yor English?

And I am wondering what makes you think these 'anyones' do it 'only' here,
with 'only' Polish speakers of English? Any evidence for that?

Maybe the answer is that people feel safe using his forum. They're not exposed
to real English so can cope with this low level stuff!

Looking at the posts here, I'd say that only non-native speakers use this forum.

Isn't it obvious? Others are just not interesting for Polish people. What would you like to talk about with them after initial greetings? Rain forest, death penalty, people of different sexual orientation, euthanasia, women's discrimination, blacks' discrimination, baseball, golf, squash .... I suspect that you think it is because of a language barrier. Let me tell you you are wrong. It is our background barrier that is important. For example I can talk about baseball I understand its rules but it doesn't get me excited because I have never played basketball. What I want to say is that the subjects that we are mutualy interested in are extremaly limited. But if you provide me with a link to some English forum where they make some sense from my point of view I will gladly join it.

I don't agree. Most discussion topics are fairly universal. Being Polish
doesn't exclude one from the rest of the world. OK, some of the topics you
mention might not be so very relevant to someone living in Poland. But, on the
whole, better to communicate with global speakers of English rather than the
fairly limited majority on this board. Sorry!

Why not give it a try ...
