Some flower?

IP: *.neoplus.adsl.tpnet.pl 22.07.03, 20:42
I've just made inspection of foreign beers in Auchan. I saw an English beer,
in which one of igredients was name "elderflower" (flavour). My question is:
what is elderflower. If this flower is really elder, manufacturer should
indicate the secon object. I mean: elder than who???

elderflower - the flower of the elder, used to make wines and cordials.

elder - a small tree or shrub with white flowers and bluish-black or red
      berries.

elderberry - the berry of the elder, used for making jelly or wine - jagoda

So Al, you read labels instead of drinking. An interesting orientation.

Nothing of that kind. In the matter of fact I like to look on newcomers on
shelves. Some of the them seem to be interesting, but...
It's just matter of price. Should I risk to spend money for beer that is more
expensive (several times) than ours? If it's flavoured by unknow to me flowers
I may expect that it can turn out a crap. I prefer regular beers.

At first I thought it was a pun, intended to mean 'some flour' :)
