Awalk is right. Chris de Burg(sorry -spellig),was so pissed when he wrote that
song, that even ugly dog after few pints looks so lovelii.I know that state (
she is so beautiful) from my own expierience.I even can talk

I dont agree with you guys. The lyric is beautiful, and the music is just
perfect. Still, I would really appreciate it, if someone could translate the

Listen to the way de Burgh pronounces 'dance' and then 'romance' in the next
line. The man's mixed-up. Plus he wrote it about his wife. Now, I'm not
claiming to be an expert on the habits of married men, but I find it strange
that he'd never seen the highlights in her hair, or his wife's dress. Does this
man pay any attention?
