On powiedzial ze airconditioning jest naprawiony czyli:
He said the airconditioning had been repaired (czy to poprawnie?)

2. Powiedzial, ze dlugo nie mielismy wiadomosci od niego
he said we hadn't heard from him for a long time (czy to poprawnie?)

Oba zdania są błędne.
W pierwszym jest błąd w czasie.
He said the air conditioning was repaired.

W drugim osoba:
He said they ...

a dlaczego `they`?skoro tam jest `my`?
`He said WE hadn`t heard from him...

Bo w mowie zależnej relacjonujemy, kto coś inny nam powiedział, więc
jeśli ktoś mówi "my" zamieniamy na to, że mówili "oni",
czyli "they". ON powiedział, że ONI nie słyszeli.

Where does she work?
I often wondered where she works/worked.

We do not keep the original speaker`s tense if we dont agree with what he/she said,if we`re not certain of its truth or if we wish to make it clear that the informationcomes from the original speaker,not from ourselves.

`The Greeks thought that the sun went round the Earth.`
`Did you hear that?She just said she was fourteen!`

Just because structures are commonly used it doesn't necessarily
mean they are correct.Reported speech has certain rules and that's
it.
