Hi Englishman! :-)
Is Jerry Seinfeld seems to be funny in the UK? Is that a kind of
humor Englishmen like? Are american and english sense of humor
similar? By the way, I dont speak english... sorry :-) And thnx in
advance...

      Hi there! I think a lot of English humour is based around linguistic
      creativity centred around social norms with English humour
      characterised by inventiveness rather than the formal joke. Word
      play is key. For eg the BBC Radio 'Goon Show' where word play is
      taken to the extreme with the langauge deconstructed into a series
      of silly noises that are funny with properties of the actual words
      used for comic effect. I think we always try to find the lighter
      side regardless of the situation we are in hence we also have a
      reputation for dark humour.

      I think American homour is more focused on the slapstick - the
      custard pie in your face - is less understated and more open with
      the emphasis on oberseravtional techniques.
