Bus number 175 is probably the most dangerous bus route in warsaw (for the safety of your luggage); take care of the pickpockets especially during top hours, when the buses are overcrowded. Take especially care if you see men nervously walking up and down along the bus. Shout out "Ratunku! Pomocy!" ("Please help me " in polish) and advise bus driver and police asap.

After having spent a peaceful week in Poland, I was confident that my return was going to be equally enjoyable. However, four thieves took with me the bus number 175 from the Central Railway Station to the Chopin Airport last Sunday at 6:00pm. They were men around 40-50 years old with dirty clothes and a slight smell of alcohol. Each one of them took the bus by a different door. They tried to corner me in the aisle and start opening the pockets of my backpack. Fortunately, I was aware and they were drunk enough to be logy. A nice old couple, who also realized about the incident, said something in Polish, so the four men got off rapidly with nothing in their hands. Nevertheless, the feeling of insecurity and of a sad farewell persist in me memories.
