galtom Re: Congratulations 2 British F1 fans! 28.03.10, 22:04 Who owns them? Does it really make a difference since 80% of motorsport in Europe comes from England anyway? Almost all F1 teams are based in UK. Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś

From memory, it is 15% clearly British, 10% Mercedes and 45% from two Arab financial sources. The remaining 30% is inter-group ownership, which make allocation impossible without knowing a lot more about the companies than I do. Apart from Mclaren, the racing car is sponsored by Vodaphone - a British/US multinational, and Mercedes. Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
galtom Re: Congratulations 2 British F1 fans! 22.04.10, 09:29 What I ment was that almost all know - how in todays motorsport comes from Britain. Even Renault F1 is based in UK. Prodrive - UK. Only Americans with their own series are not "outsourcing" :-) BTW: congratulations again - Button and Hamilton had done "One Two" last Sunday. I also have to say that BBC F1 tv broadcast is even better than the one from ITV when they did it. It is a shame that tvcatchup.com is still limited to Britain only :-( It would be so much easier to get access to British TV (no need for VPN). I have read info on their forums. They are waiting for Ofcom decision regarding broadcast rights. But if you got any friends in UK spending more time in front of the PC than in front of the telly it might be a good option for them to watch something from time 2 time. Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
