I thought you might find this interesting + there might be a few words on the
      list that defy translation:

The brainbox publishers of the Oxford Dictionary have compiled a list of the
words which have defined every year since 1904. 2004's entry was "Chav", but
did you know that the word "Wonderbra" originated in 1947, "mobile phone" in
1945, "spliff" in 1936 and "celeb" in 1913? Check out the full list below, from
Larpers And Shroomers: The Language Report, published on 19 October. What's the
word of the year YOU were born?

        hip
        celebrity
        drive-in
        fast food/junk food
        dunk
        buzz-word
        cool
        sexy
        it-girl
        F-word
trainers - 'I've got a new pair of trainers' ...what is it in Polish?

        Personally, I also struggle with:
enjoy -'I enjoyed his company/this book/this joke/this drink' it always comes
down to doing something or other with pleasure/enjoyment - a cop out!
        Enjoy!
        understated humour
