No-frills airline Germanwings on Friday confirmed a cooperation plan with
British peer BMIBaby and said it was in talks with Polish and Scandinavian
carriers about a similar agreement.
Germanwings and BMIBaby, both affiliated with Deutsche Lufthansa, said at a
tourism conference in Berlin that they will co-operate on jointly marketing
cheap flights, confirming what an industry source said earlier this week.
"We would certainly try to develop this association further," said Friedrich-
Wilhelm Weitholz, the chief executive of Eurowings, which owns Germanwings.
He told reporters the airline was in talks about similar cooperation with
Scandinavian low-cost airline SAS Snowflake
