The Ford Focus is being recalled for faulty rear-door latches. The National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration has initiated the recall of 358,857
Foci, the Associated Press reports, because the rear doors' latches could
corrode and leave them unable to close properly. The recall involves Focus
four- and five-door models sold as 2000-2002 models in 20 states and the
District of Columbia. Thirty-three complaints concerning the defect have been
lodged with the NHTSA.
