The current migratory phenomenon which sees thousands and
thousands of female and male Poles leaving Poland for work abroad
makes me think of the thousands of Italian Southerners who have
been moving to North Italy after spending the best years of
adolescence and university in the native south.

One of these Southerners is my son , working in a Milan bank for
about 6 years.Needless to point out that 90% of these Italians
forced to emigrate will never be able to come back to their
roots and are condemned to do many sacrifices in such an
expensive city as Milan.Eating, drinking, buying a miniflat ,
amenities, transport, etc. often cost twice what they cost in
Brindisi ,where I and my Polish (Inowroclawianka) wife live .
I am sorry that so many graduated young Poles decide to go
abroad. but they have no other choice in front of them and I
also think that no Polish politician will ever succeeed in
convincing them or a part of them to return to Poland in the
short and middle term .
