dotychczas Alzheimera mozna bylo stwierdzic po smierci pacjenta i sekcji mozgu
.Wg Physics Today dec 2005: Early detection of Alzheimer's could be done
with noninvasive optical methods. Two tears ago, researches discovered that
exact same beta-amyloid peptides (-beta) that are hallmark of Alzheimer's
appear in the eye's lens and it's surrounding fluid. The next step was
revealed in October, at tthr Fronntiers in Optics meeting in Tucson. Lee
Goldsteiin , who is leeading the research at Brigham and Woman's Hospital in
Boston presented a pair of optical tests that can nonivasively detecet A-bea
in the lens. Using quasi-elastic light scattering...... Such tests may not
only improve patients' chances to start treatment tearlier , but could also
speed development of new drugs.
