Hmmmmm. Szczerze mówiąc, nie chcę być ani trochę złośliwa, chyba najpierw
musisz jednak troszeczkę popracować nad własnym...

no he didn't, he said "his" not "him"
taking into account that author's eng. isn't the greatest
we can't really say what he meant

      HI pilot,

I think it's a great idea to start teaching your son English. You know your
English level yourself, so if it's good enough, and you're sure that you're not
gonna contribute to developing bad language habits at your son, just talk to
him, use some games, encourage to learn Engliish from the net sites, etc.

BUt even if your english is perfect, you'd better send your kid to some
classes... I know (basing on my, and not only my experience) that teaching sb
from your family, not only a language, but anything, doesn't bring desired
effects. If it's a person you care about yuo may become to emotional, and it
may affect the parent-son relationship (negatively). of course I don't know
what kind of person you are, but the person who teches tends to adopt the look-
      how-much-I-do-for-you-and-you-don't-appreciate-this approach.

I strongly recommend to let sb else be the main teacher, and you just help your
kid in learning, if you want.

      Later,
      Kociamama.

mmmm. with all respect deserved, I think that a person that doesn't know how to
use an infinitive condtruction in a simple question should reconsider their
        plans...
Anyway, however you will solve this problem, good luck!

        Martini

          Hey,

the mistake (that pilot made) migh well have been a result of fast typing...

I don't think we have a right to evaluate anybody's command of English basing
only on one sentence... And that's Pilot who knows (himself/herself) how
          proficient s/he is.

          Later,
          Kociamama.
