sparkling/gassy

can someone explain the difference between sparkling & gassy? can you use
both adjectives to talk about mineral water?

sparkling = musująca/e/y, e.g. sparkling wine = wino musujące, fake champagne
but: sparkling water = woda (stołowa, mineralna) gazowana.
still water = woda (stołowa, mineralna) bez gazu.
Never heard of gassy water.

A person can be gassy after eating too much, and oh that smell .... :-)))
Water/drink is sparkling or carbonated.

"Gassy" sounds like verbatim translation from Schweitze_Deutsch
