HUBA - BRACKET FUNGUS

IP: 217.153.12.* 22.05.04, 18:29
Is there any common name for bracket fungi (po polsku HUBA). Would you
say, 'look at that bracket fungus!' or would you say something else.

      You're right.
Huba = 'bracket fungus' also 'shelf fungus' alternatively 'polypore'
But I'm not a biologist that's why I need to recommend the first one and the
second (that's synonym) 'cause it's most common (maybe I can't see any
      important difference)
Polypore = a woody pore fungus, Laetiporus (Polyporus) sulphureus, that forms
large, brightly colored, shelflike growths on old logs and tree stumps.
Bracket fungus = any of various fungi that form shelflike growths on tree
trunks and wood structures. Also called shelf fungus.

i'd say: "Dude, check out the tree shroom!"

But seriously... it's apparently know as a "Dryad's Saddle". But i never know
      that till i googled it.
