I have no problem with grammar or vocabulary. I love reading in English, but

Bye for now

conversation classes with a native speaker would be most useful.
    • amused.to.death Re: How to learn speaking? 04.08.04, 13:21
      speak.

Wow, Amused, your signature is longer than your answer - bull's-eye,
nonetheless ;) You can't learn speaking without speaking. My advice? Get a
friend, get a teacher and start talking. Or just get a willing friend but!
        beware... nobody will correct you.

Don't worry. I have problems with everything - speaking, writting,
      understanding... Especially when I'm stressed.

      Hello,
Simply find friends speaking English. I mean ONLY English. They don't even have
to be native speakers of English. Sometimes it's more tricky to explain
yourself to people from other countries. ;))) But for sure contact with native
speakers will do good to your accent and pronounciation. But be careful with
Americans. For some reason some of them find Polish accent sexy and don't want
you to "polish your English". I'll kill my husband one day. LOL.
      Good luck!

"some of them find Polish accent sexy and don't want
        you to "polish your English"."

        sorry, I don't understand <shame>

Yes. I don't understand you too. Does it means American native speaker isn't
good at teaching? Is there a problem in his no "British" accent? Or maybe in
        something else?
        • Gość: Jolka Re: How to learn speaking? IP: *.bielsko.dialog.net.pl 09.08.04, 16:48
IMO it means that an American can like your accent (Polish accent) so much that
s/he doesn't want you to change it into American or British or whatever:))
The other thing is that being an American/British native speaker doesn't equal
being a good teacher. Would you be able to teach a foreigner Polish (including
grammar and all that boring (and very complicated:) stuff?
          • happili Re: How to learn speaking? 09.08.04, 17:00
Thank you Jolka for the explanation you gave. This is exactly what I meant but
didn't have enough energy to explain it. ;))) Yeah, my husband is a really
great teacher even though he is American. But he is also a "polonophil" and
likes my Polish accent. Too bad for me. But as long as people understand me,
            everything is alright. :)))
