Mrs - a married woman who has no other title
Miss - a girl or a woman who has never been married
Ms - a woman, whether she is married or not

"Ms" uzywasz gdy nie znasz statusu kobiety, do ktorej piszesz.

Either you don't know it or it's not releveant, hence you don't want to mention
        it.

PS: Read the previous post, would you?

or you want to be politically correct:))

Why are you so agressive? Are you sorry you have to write Ms, so no one knows
          you are not Mrs?
          Regards,

The general principle is clear enough though an allowance needs to be made for
                certain oddities.
A woman married many a time might choose to stick to her maiden name, for
professinal reasons, among others; she will then be correctly addressed as Miss
or Ms. See: Ms/Miss Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Collins, Lisa Minelli etc
I guess it makes things easier for otherwise unstable ladies.
Generally, when in doubt as to the lady's marital status, opt for Ms as a safe
                bet.

As if! That's why I'm logged. I used to be a guest on this forum but as you all
can see some people like being nasty, right Mr/Ms Cwshs.com?
              • amused.to.death Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 20:53
what a pitiful creatures some people are. Are they so boring that they must pretend to be someone else or what?

I.nes, let's go back to Kuchnia. Jedzenie łagodzi obyczaje. :)

Yeah, I know :) By my ways aren't THAT bad, are they? ;)
It's this Cwshs.com person who has nothing else to do but make my life harder
as if it wasn't enough :(
                • amused.to.death Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 21:03
Oh, I'd love to join you both, but I can't if I don't want my mouth water and dribbling all over the keyboard - for a long time yet I'm devoid of kitchen, and I simply can't stand visiting that forum which otherwise rates as one of the best.
                  • i.nes Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 21:13
That's why you just flashed for a second :) Don't tell me you're on a diet!
                    Poor girl.
                    • amused.to.death Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 21:30
yeah, poor indeed I am, it's a forced diet. I've got no no cooker, no oven, no microwave, no sink, no kettle, no table. Thank God I've got a fridge - but that's all I've got.
                      • i.nes Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 21:48
Do you eat at all? ;)
                        • amused.to.death Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 21:52
yep, all that can be eaten cold. Grapes, plums, cauliflowers, apples, tomatoes, cottage cheese. Oh, and sometimes I buy canned fish - cans must be with tabs of course...
Well, I think it can be pretty beneficial, you know...
                          • i.nes Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 21:59
                            Oh, sure! :)
[just to make you feel better]

But off the record - can you do sth about it in the nearest future???
                            • amused.to.death Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 22:10

                              that's good, really good...
As soon as the renovation of my flat is over I'll start to think about having a fitted kitchen... a long way to go then...
                              • i.nes Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 22:11
But still, there's some light in this long, black tunnel.
When's the warming house party? :)
                                • amused.to.death Re: Mrs. czy Ms.??? 11.08.04, 22:41
when I get this fitted kitchen installed so that I can cook/bake etc - generally, so that I can use my skills and knowledge I got thanks to the Kuchnia forum (GREAT forum - it really taught me a lot:)))

I hope I won't. I'm not a perfect chef right now, so I wouldn't like to lose this little talent I've got:)
