Well, generically speaking to me they're just "blood clot drugs". But I'm a layman and you shouldn't take my words too seriously, at least not if your life depended on it (disclaimer) ;) If you need any specific names, just google in the phrase I gave you. Or... what the heck.. there you go: Fraxiparine, Arixtra, Coumadin.

talking about anticoagulants theoretically, i can talk from experience.

i have been taking these drugs (plavix and aspirine) daily for a year now. no
heart attack yet but plenty of bruising - the slightest bump causes a big,
bruise, as the ruptured blood vessel causes blood under the skin to stay there
for a few days.
