"Bless you"! Do we answer???????

11.09.06, 18:38
When someone sneezes we say "Bless you", but do we have to answer "Thank
you"?? Today one person tried to convince me that in the USA NOBODY NEVER
says 'Thank you';/

I live in the US, and you ALWAYS say "Thank you", when somebody says "Bless
      you".

Ha! I knew it;p I've never been to the USA only England, so I thought that it's
        because of culture ;/

        Thank you:)

            English: "Thank you!"

correction, ampolion, but for years now i have been using only lowercase. the
use of uppercase is a convention after all, isn't it?

lol... and I HATE it when ppl say "bless you" when I sneeze.. but one is
expected to say "thank you" and, well, "when in Rome, do as Romans do"... :\

Now I'm in Ireland and I noticed that it depends on person who sneezed.
Sometimes they say "Thank you", sometimes not... I think it's not like in
Poland that everyone says it :)
