Widzieliscie ten film? Jak nie, to polecam...
W Australii idzie juz od miesiaca przy pelnych salach...
Nie tylko dla tego, ze graja w nim, i to doskonale,
Michael Caine i Brendon Fraser, i ze jest on profesjonalnie
zrobiony w/g doskonalej powiesci Grahama Greena,
ale ze pokazuje on, jak to w latach 1950tych rzad USA za
posrednictwem CIA finansowal wietnamskich prawicowych terrorystow
(tzw. kompleks militarno-gospodarczy).

      Yes, it's definitely worth seeing.
Also it has a strong romantic thread, with a love interest character probably
representing how fickle some of those countries are when it comes to choosing
      sponsors.... ;)
Good ambience, although my partner almost fell asleep in the theatre due to
(???!) slower than ususual quite un-American pace of the film..
      Enjoyed.

K: Did you se the latest version od "Solaris"?
Me & my partner were the only people, who survived
at the cinema up to the very end of this extremally
        boring movie...
"The Quiet American" wasn't relly slow moving, quite contray, unless
you compare it to the action movies (such as with Arnie)...

Nope, not yet, just about missed it last time back in the Old Country.
          Is it so?
Well, I think I'll give it the benefit of the doubt anyway since it's based on
Lem and...... George Cluny :0)))))) ...of course.

You reckon my Brit will dose off again?

K: I'm afraid that yes... Even worse: my honsest desire was to simply
leave the cinema in disguist, because of such an amatourish production,
and because of reducing Lem's SF novel to a boring "love story in space".
But I had to stay until the end, because I wanted to write a review...
            Cheers

PS: Did you see my translation of SOLARIS, the novel?

not yet but I definitely will.
It is being described as a "psychological sci-fi", damn, you really put me off
              now.
Maybe we'll start off with "Confessions of a dangerous mind" to ease ourselves
into the Cluny experience and then add the Polish twist to it & go for "Georgey
              Lost in Space".
              Where is your review?
              Same link?

                ... "The Quiet American", please!

I'll be more specific! I am torn between 'Annabel Wang Story', you know, the
girl who screwed somothing like over 200 men in few hours & highly
praised "TQA" and since my weekly allowance is very f...fff... frugal, I cannot
see both... Which film should I choose?
