I heard her screaming and crying = krzycząc i płacząc słyszałem ją (inaczej:
słyszałem ją, gdy JA krzyczałem i płakałem - "screaming and crying" dotyczy
podmiotu, czyli osoby relacjonującej zdarzenie)
