Hi every1,

I am new to this forum so let me first introduce myself. My name is Fatima
and I'm 16 yrs old. My login "asz_szams" means "the sun" in arabic.

I am currently translating a text into polish. I have a problem which I hope
You will help me to solve :)

Firstly how to translate "rightly guided" into polish? "Poprawnie prowadzony"?
Secondly how to transtalte "falling short"?
This phrase appears often in the text that I try translate.
The context is for ex:
"and that one does not neglect it and fall short of the limit set by Allaah"
or:
"He may even be falling short in the obligatory actions, so this person is
lacking."

Also how to translate "lacking".

Ok, n e way thanx for any help. ;))))

OK, I'm going to start from the end:

lacking means "brakujacy" more or less and how you translate it depends on the
context; as you probably know, translation can never be exact, especially in
literary/religious texts. As long you grasp the meaning, you'll be fine. In
your sentence "so this person is lacking" may be translated as " wiec ta
osoba/ten czlowiek nie spelnia wszystkich warunkow". The whole sentence could
be: "nie spelnia wymagan a wiec niespelnia wszystkich warunkow"

"to fall short of" means "to fail to reach the required
standard/target/expectations etc. so again in your context you can roughly
translate it as "nie spelnia wszystkich warunkow przedstawionych przez
      Boga/Allaha
In your sentence you'll have to give "fall short" a positive meaning in Polish,
otherwise it won't make any sense:
"and that one does not neglect....." i zeby nie zaniedbywac i spelnic wszystkie
warunki postawione przez Allaha" (zamiast "nie spelnic")

-I hope you can understand my explanations :)

righly guided - poprawnie prowadzony, wlasciwie nakierowany, poprawnie
nakierowany; I like "naprowadzony / prowadzony na wlasciwa droge" best, but I'd
have to have the context to see if it fits.

Hope it helps and good luck with the translation.

      "rightly guided"
      rightly-correctly,exactly,properly
guided-directed in a course or shown the way to be followed

falling short-not fulfilling (the obligation), be
deficient, to fail to attain something.

      lacking-to suffer from deficiency
