i used to live by place called "bird i'th'and"
could u tell me where's that coming from and does it mean anything ?

      "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" means it's better to
      have a small actual advantage than the chance of a greater one.

      "The Bird in the Hand" was apparently adopted as a pub name in the
      middle ages.

      It's Yorkshire dialect for "bird in the hand".
