Weekend temperatures are set to soar to around 40, as the Sydney heatwave
continues.
The weather bureau made the prediction for the NSW capital as Brisbane, Perth
and Adelaide continue to swelter.
The hotter areas of Sydney - to the west of the city - were expected to reach
about 41 degrees today, with a cooler 32 anticipated for the city and the
coast, the bureau said.
