"How can we make our cities more environmentally friendly??"

Nowadays every newspaper, radio or TV shower us with lots of news and warning
connected with environment degradation. We hear a lot about greenhouse
effect, deforestation, toxic fumes, ozone hole etc. But what can each person
do to make our cities better, cleaner, healthier...?
First of all, we should sort all garbage: bottles, paper, tins and other
rubbish and then put them into special containers. From there they are taken
for recycling. It reduces the area of dumping grounds and saves materials
like paper, glass, different metals.
Secondly, If goverments improved public transport, people wouldn't use cars
so often. Then, our cities will be less poluted, and townsfolks will be
happier. If there is a situation someone has to use the car he can choose the
smaller one.
Thirdly, I think that goverments could prohibit build too many buildings. In
cities in Poland is many large buildings. Is this make ,for example - Warsaw,
priettier city. i don't think so.
It's very hard to encourage people to environment conservation. That's
because the negligence will be noticeable in a few dozen or even hundreds of
years. But we should be short sighted, think only about ourselves. For next
generation's sake must put all our efforts to make our planet enable to live.

Kilka z błędów jakie ja zobaczyłam:
      1. w pierwszym zdaniu powinno być chyba showers?
      2. przed or TV powinien być przecinek
      3. the our cities WOULD be less poluted (...) WOULD be happier
      4. prohibit building? No ale to będzie straszne masło maślane...
      5. In Polish cities brzmiało by lepiej
      6. DOES it make? czy też to jakaś nowa forma której nie znam?
      7. nie podoba mi się l.mn. od government, ale kto wie, może to i poprawnie

ciekawe jakie błędy wskaże reszta, pewnie znacznie więcej ;-) Ale ogólnie tekst
      jest miły ;-)

"environmentally friendly" -> more common, environment-friendly
"If there is a situation someone has to use the car" -> a car
"I think that goverments could prohibit build too many buildings" -> should
      prohibit that much building?
"In cities in Poland is many large buildings" -> in the Polish cities there are
      too many large buildings.
"It's very hard to encourage people to environment conservation" -> to
encourage people to protect the environment.
"But we should be short sighted, think only about ourselves. For next
generation's sake must put all our efforts to make our planet enable to live." -
      > but we should NOT be short-sighted (...) For THE next generation's...

"How can we make our cities more environment friendly??"

Nowadays, TV, newspapers, and radio stations, show us lots of news and warnings
related to environment degradation. We hear a lot about the greenhouse
effect, deforestation, toxic fumes and holes in the ozone layer. But what can
each of us do to make our cities better, cleaner and healthier?
First of all, we should sort all the garbage: bottles, paper, cans and other
trash and then put them into special containers. From there they should be
taken for recycling. That will reduce the amount of garbage dumps and save
materials like paper, glass, and different metals.
Next, if governments improve public transport, people wouldn't use cars
as often. Then, our cities would be less polluted, and people would be
happier (breath cleaner air). Why don’t we force people to use smaller and more
      environment-friendly cars?
And finally, I think that governments could prohibit the amount of industrial
and commercial buildings. In cities in Poland there are many large buildings.
Does it make Warsaw a prettier city? I don't think so.
It's very hard to encourage people to conserve the environment.
Their wrong doing or lack of action will be noticeable in the near future, or
even tens or hundreds of years. But should we look for short term solutions and
think only about ourselves? For the next generation's sake we must put all our
efforts to make our planet cleaner, better and simply - livable.
