What is synonymous to expression "What time is it?" ???

...shouldn't it be "Have you got THE time?" Without the article it sounds to me
as if you're asking somebody if they have time to do something with you, help
you, etc.

I've also been asked "Have you got a watch?", just like in Poland :-)
It's possible to say "Do you know what time it is?"

Languages offer so many possibilities... :-)
