I use the edger or trimmer for trimming jobs and around the edges. I use those
in places where it's hard to cut the grasslike between the patio and the lawn
or between the driveway and the lawn, etc.
I don't know what a streamer is. Our popular brand is Briggs and Stratton.

Kylie, Ty chyba z Kanady. Jak jeszcze tam mieszkalem (dawno temu) to wszyscy na
to mowili weed eater. Tak juz sie nauczylem ze tylko tak mowie na ta maszyne,
ale jak o tym mysle to zdaje sie ze to chyba najglupsza nazwa ;))) A South of

I have been gone for a couple of weeks and looks like I have missed all
the "weed eating" fun.
Yes,I AM from Canada but I think you didn't live here long enough to know
that "weed eaters" are designed specifically for getting rid of the weeds. If
you ask me, they do a lousy job. The spinning line from the weed eater drills a
whole right through the weed and into the ground. It's all good only for few
days. In most cases the roots of the weeds are still buried deep inside and the
weed will resurface in a matter of two or three.There is no way you can get rid
of them by spinning dirt around with a lousy plastic cord. Nowadays we have
chemicals for weeds in all shapes and sizes. They do a much better job, I think.
Well, believe it or not, "comcast buddy", we do have trimmers and edgers as
well .And, you might be in for a big shock if I tell you that we use those
things for the same reason YOU guys use them. We have the same grass as you do,
and the grass is green too. In case you forgot.:) :)

Nope. My parents are still there, so are my old neighbours, and friends. I
still go back every now and then to visit. In fact we still own our old home
back there, and sort of rely on our neighbours' help and their watchful eye to
keep things under control. We just had that same conversation about a year ago.
Everybody seems to be calling that damn thing a weed eater and we all agreed
that it should actually be called a trimmer, or edger or something. I don't
know if this goes for all Canadians or just our neck of the woods. I'm from
Calgary BTW. But in any case you can tell that I will never be mistaken for a
native Texan with my weed eater thingy, EH ;))))
Of course the grass is still green, it's just too hard to notice what with all
that snow on top of it and all. Just kiddin' just kiddin' ;)))

i najlepsze pochodzi z Ameryki - 'the biggest little town' etc.

To byla uwaga w obronie geograficznej nazwy wyspy. Nazwa wyspy pozostala bez
zmian od Rzymskich czasow. Za wielka woda moze o tym nie jest wiadomo ;)
Nie posadzam Cie o osobiste wywyzszanie sie! To tylko mala uszczypliwosc za
mala uszczypliwosc (smieszna zreszta :), nikt mi nie wmowi ze na nia nie
zasluzylas!

you could go for a green option and keep grazing livestock like goats, sheep or
cattle to keep your grass short :)

Rabbits, for edges it's best to use rabbits. Hamsters will also do, but they
are harder to control.
