maybe, but it does not imply that he's "z piekla rodem", just "szurniety,
porabany" and all the wealth of the truly rich and wonderful Polish
language, no need for rude words here at all.
It does depend though how was it said?
As it was mentioned before it could mean:
"wow, guy's as crazy as hell"....ie: I admire him for the stunt he's just
pulled off.

I'm interested what this means to you now?I still have impression it's negative

"Different" is the word really, do you know any musicians?
Well, they are somewhat unorthodox in expressing themselves.
That was kinda mild, if you think of all the on-stage mooning, urinating,
guitar smashing, satanic rites and all that jazz. You know all that
unimaginable stress that comes with stardom. You have to let it out, right?

Hell or not, they did sit down and record the bloody song and that's what
counts after all. As far as the artist's sanity is concerned, I don't know.
It looks like he did not get offended, though?

In my childhood, me and my best friends often used to call each other names
using obscene words. It was such a friendly affectionate fashion of greeting
someone we liked a lot. My parents were never able to understand it. Years
later, when I grown up I had a friend in the US. He used to address the people
he liked "An asshole" and when he didn't like someone he was very polite and
formal. To make the story short, "guy's crazy as hell" might have a literal
negative meaning or it might be the way of expressing one's admiration for the
guy, depenfing on circumstances.

porabany
walniety
szajba mu odbila *
szmera pod kopula
bije mu na dekiel
wali mu
wali mu na dekiel
gosciu ma nasrane w bance
pojebany.....itd itd

Honestly, with the full-blooded wealth of that and more of what I must have
forgotten by now, who needs "hell" anyway, and English language for that
matter?

*I'd go for this one, bit archaic, as it goes but so is the original, traditional.

It all depends on the way it was said. Although my reception is that somebody
is rather liking a guy for his craziness.

On the other note... Last Sunday watching pre-game show before Bills-Patriots
game, I've seen Deion Sanders interviewing Michael Vick. After the interview he
quoted someone else saying "This boy is BAD!" about Vick. Bad, meaning "REALLY
GOOD Player", as oposite to plain bad.

The difference is in the way you said "Bad".

The phrase crazy as hell isn't necessarily negative, although context is
important in determining this. For example, being "fat as hell" is negative
because it refers to one's girth. The word "hell" is added as emphasis. Hell
is extreme therefore giving the phrase an extra punch.
