Hello,
I'm conducting a survey on native-speaker and non-native speaker teachers' beliefs and practices in teaching pronunciation and I'd be interested in getting responses from teachers working in Poland. This is supposed to contribute to the debate on EIL/ELF (English as an International Language/English as a Lingua Franca) approach to pronunciation teaching.
I'm particularly interested in your views on native speaker norms as well as which variety you adopt as a pronunciation model in your classroom and which pronunciation features you incorporate in your syllabus.
The survey is addressed to in-service teachers whose learners use or are likely to use English for international communication, by which I mean interacting with other NNS or both NS and NNS.
What you should know:
- There are 28 questions altogether. There are no 'right' or 'wrong' answers, so please be honest!
- The survey is anonymous and won't take more than 15 minutes of your time :)
- If, for any reason, you wish to withdraw your participation after completing this survey, you may do so by contacting me at azs1@le.ac.uk.
Here's the link to the survey: www.surveymonkey.com/s/NTR27F3
If you'd like me to share my findings with you, please email me at the address above or the one given at the end of the survey.
Thanks!
