Mystic Ballet is seeking candidates with significant teaching experience at
an advanced/professional level in classical ballet, and choreography for a
full-time faculty position of ballet teacher and or ballet master/mistress.

Qualifications: The candidate must exhibit leadership abilities and
compatibility with a student-centered educational environment, and be
willing to actively engage in the creation and production of experimental
work, modeling and facilitating artistic creativity within the student body.

Responsibilities: teaching all levels of Ballet Technique and Pointe
Technique, and Men's Technique and Partnered Adagio, Dance Injury Awareness
and Prevention, Ballet History.
Applicant has to have an interest in team teaching, the ability to
choreograph for and oversee productions. Duties also include mentoring,
choreographing on students, and coaching creative work for dance concerts.

Ability to:
. Demonstrate exceptional pedagogy skills in transferring knowledge to
students and challenge them, managing a progressive class structure with
sustainable discipline and personable, enthusiastic positive energy.
. Participate in effectively developing a progressive ballet syllabus for
the school of Mystic Ballet and bring, in a timely manner, ideas, issues and
concerns regarding updates and changes to the existing syllabus, to the
attention of the General Manager.
. Participate in effectively developing rehearsal schedule for performances
and bring, in a timely manner, ideas, issues and concerns regarding
production to the attention of the Artistic Director.
. Provide general support and advice to the Artistic Director and General
Manager on matters related to artistic production, and educational programs.
. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager in a timely manner
and with a creative and positive attitude.

Housing is provided.

Mystic Ballet's Season and school year runs 36 weeks, September through
June, with three trimesters.

Vacation Breaks:
. A 2 week Holiday break during last two weeks of December;
. A Winter break - 1 week in February;
. The Summer Break starts the second week of June and runs through the first
week of September.
