      I absolutely agree with what jadefish's said. Generally speaking, in USA and
      Canada you can come across the word "fancy" in the "to like" sense only in the
      Brit films... Or, you use it when you want to sound sarcastic, ironic, tongue
      in cheek, so Brrrittish.

Opócz tego fancy znaczy - podobac się komuś (często seksualnie) np I fancy Lech
Wałęsa oraz coś eleganckiego.

fancy - shmancy mowia Amerykanie troche ironicznie o czyms za bardzo luksusowym
i eleganckim. Np. "I don't want to wear any fancy shmancy dress". Or - "You
know, they all use these fancy pens".
W Anglii mozna "fancy a glass of wine" or "I don't really fancy him so much."
