Czy ktos mi może powiedzieć jak po angielsku powinno brzmiec wyrażenie:
"zapas na wymiary elementów"
chodzi mi o ten zapas głównie
Ma to być w takim kontekscie, ze projektujemy mebel i podajemy wymiary z
uwzglednieniem rezerwy (np. szerokośc półki + zapas na montaż)
czy to może byc reserve?
Z góry dziękuję za odpowiedź.
Przy okazji, może ktos wie, jak jest po angielsku PAWLACZ???

Even with your explanation I am not sure how you’re going to use it but I think
you are talking about tolerance. To say that something was made with small
tolerance would mean it is almost exactly to the design specifications.
For example if your shelf was to be 30cm wide
Small or tight tolerance would mean +- 3mm
Large or greater tolerance would be +- 1cm

Well, thank you for your help, but what I'm exactly looking for is a word
describing these additional centimeters that should be added when materials for
a piece of furniture are prepared:
I mean when a carpenter is preparing materials for a piece of furniture he has
some data from his customers: for example a table height. And then he
calculates how long should the leg be in order to produce a table with a given
height. So he had to add some "a word that I'm lookling for" to the given
dimension just for assembly purpose.
I hope that I described it clearly enough:-)

You explained it very well but I don’t think there is a specific word you could
use.

How about this:
To the design length of the table leg the carpenter must consider additional
dimensions necessary for assembly purposes.


I know this is not what you’re looking for but I don’t know of a single word
which could be used in this case.

To jeszcze trochę w temacie stolarsko-meblowym:
chodzi mi o tłumaczenie słowa LISTWA
W mojej firmie uzywa się listew przymykowych, obniżeniowych, dekoracyjnych itp.
Dla wyjaśnienia
Listwa przymykowa to taka deska mocowana do ściany, żeby drzwi szafy wnękowej
nie obijały ściany
Listwa obniżeniowa to deksa, którą mocuje się do sufitu, żeby zmiejszyć wymiary
otworu do zabudowy.
Co do listwy dekoracyjnej, spotkałam się z okresleniem "decorative trim" , ale
to chyba nie do końca to?
Będę bardzo wdzięczna za pomoc w tej materii, bo te określenia sa moją
codzienną zmorą:-)

generated 141 concordances. That means 141 webpages contained this word. Not bad.

I didn't notice that someone posted "overhead shelf" earlier. So, I would asume
both are correct.

c. planted moulding

2. decorative trim or molding. I believe that in case of furniture the word
trim is more appropriate. Molding is installed around windows and doors.
