I study marketing and management and the whole course is conducted in english.
Most of our faculty is from english speaking countries, although we had quite
exotic professors from nepal or italy. Basically the course is good to keep in
touch with english. if you want to know more visit www.wspiz.edu.pl and there
you should find more information about the english track.

There is also english track at Warsaw Politechnic if you are interested in
      computer science.

I've looked over that site, and I find it quite interesting. But can tell me
how many people studying on your track are the foreigners??? I know that it's a
stupid question, but do you have to study a lot? ;) Are there already any
graduates or is it a "new" course? Thanks.

every year there the number of foreign ppl studying at the academy is
increasing. Talking about graduates there are ppl having bachelor degree, but
they have it since this year so you cannot really confront it with employers'
perception. Of course you can also do master degree which and you receive two
diplommas (one of our academy and the other of some english academy I guess
          its bradford uni).
It depends on a person whether one needs to study or not. For some it may be
difficult to absorb the material and for some it may b an absolute doodle. But
if you want for instance to receive scholarship, go abroad for a semester or a
year or even for longer then it is advisable to study.

You can study at the American Studies Centre (Warsaw University). You must have
      a licencjat or be a third-year-student.

I did my graduate studies in the US. I liked it a lot, despite all the drawbacks.
I think it is much better to study in an English-speaking country than
study in English in Poland. Even if you cannot commit to study abroad,
think about going for a semester to take some classes.
I bet, there are such opportunities.
I think, you will profit from it much more than you would from studying
in English in Poland, since you will have to speak English everywhere
      in different settings and situations.
Get the whole package ! And if you are adventerous, come to the US.

        Dear Prezes,

of course it is better to study English in an English speaking country! It's
obvious that such experience doesn't compare to anything you might encounter in
a regular classroom setting in Poland, but get real! How many people can
actually afford it? Not too many... I believe, though, that with a little bit
of effort and a strong will, you can learn the language anywhere :) Especially
nowadays, when the media and the Internet offer endless opportunities to
experience REAL English. So do not give up guys! But search, watch, chat, read,
study, practice and you can also speak good English :)
Not everybody can be as lucky as Prezes... and me :)

        Take care Prezes :)

Well, I wasn't rich (and still am not), but I could somehow pull it through.
At the time I left for the US I made less than $50 a month and a ticket cost about $1000 !
Now, I believe, salaries in Poland are substantially higher and you can
get a round trip ticket to the US for about $500-$600.
Besides, you do not have to worry if you get the passport or not.
So the odds are much better for you guys, than they were for me.

Many universities in the US offer financial support for students at a graduate level.
This is mostly true for science students and there is a big demand for smart people here :-)
But if you are pretty good in sports (basketball, swimming, tennis, golf :-) you can
get an athletic scholarship as well and study whatever you want even at undergraduate level.
I am sure there are other, short term opportunities as well.
If you want to stay closer to home, just try to get something in England.

I think that this is really such a great opportunity I did not have.
Satelite TV in different languages (not only English is worth learning !)
all the opportunities available on the internet, all this really
should be a huge motivation to learn English.

studying in english is very easy and we poles should not be afraid to go to
unis overseas. I passed matura just with 2 (mierny) but after 3 months of
english course at college I was set and ready to go to uni. I am quite slow
with languages so if I can do it anyone can!!! it is so simple language…
by the way I find no trouble at uni with my english.
