How do you feel about swearing in English class? One of my students (Liceum)
called another boy 'a stupid flange' in class last week. I asssume he was
using a derogatory term, although I have never come across it myself. Any
help?

Hi, confused v. How about S. Beckett's "First Love" where he inserts in the
middle of the narrative this address to the reader: "...(but you wouldn't
          undertand it, you cunt)..."

Maybe you should have complimented them on their advanced use of slang!

Did anyone see the film 'LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS'? I think
that 'flange' is used in the same way there ...
