It’s really interest me; do you have any examples of American people
stupidity? With all respect to their culture, and all…

here is one of the best story from my U.S adventure

I saw a quiz on TV
Three girls was answering the questions from few topics
The question was: second name of Napoleon
Two girls after long thinking give up
The last one said:
“I don’t know why but I thing it was F e r n a n d o”

Despite this They are power!!!

If you don't know the answer to why America is what it is today then we know
why Poland is such a dump since it's overpopulated with such “highly-educated”
      idiots like you...

Me cry??? I'm not the one living in a small provincial town in the middle of
nowhere with no job and future... I don't live in a place where crime is
rampant, government headed by corrupted peasants, and where everyone looks
          pissed off all the time.

Instead, I live in a clean, safe and happy community and have an awesome job in
line with my education. Everyone knows their place here including those who get
advanced degrees from some of the best universities in the world. They don't
have time to appear on some stupid TV shows - they spend most of the time on
advancements that the whole world relies on.

O.K Cracovian. You should agree with me that Americans are dumb a little.

By the way calm down. You know that it is not serious, I am sure you know some
                stories about Americans. Like that:

Some girl asked me "where do I come from" I said from one country in Europe
                name begin on P
                and she respond: "Portland?"

                another one "Pakistan?"
                they were from Iowa University.

                stay in peace

            Cracovian,
you are Polish after all, aren't you? Got a little lucky in AMERICA and now is
showing off? Sorry, but poeple like you make me SO sick... You just gave a
great example of how narrow-minded, ignorant and disrespectful to their old
country and everything that's outside America, some immigrants become... Now
you praise a country that your ancestors had no share in creating and take such
pride in living here... shame on you!!!

And one more thing, do not call yourself "Cracovian," if you think so low of
Poland. You bring a disgrace to that great Polish city...

            Regards, Maggie7

PS Here's a bit of "american wisdom" from the Jay Leno Show:
Question: What's the name of the body of water between England and France?
Answers: the Atlantic Ocean, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean...
And you know who gives these answers? Average Americans who "live in a clean,
safe and happy community and have an awesome job in line with [their]
            education"... :)
            • Gość: cracovian Re: polish wisdom IP: *.tnt19.atl4.da.uu.net 28.09.02, 08:10
Why are you calling me an immigrant??? Just because I speak/understand Polish
it doesn't mean I was born in Poland or does it? I lived in Cracow for a few
years and though I liked the city I think I've had enough of Poland for a
              while...

Once again, calling Americans dumb because of their lack of knowledge of
geography or history is the most phuked up thing I’ve heard and I'm tired of
hearing it. People truly don’t need to know all that crap, they can specialize
and excel in whatever they’ll do for the rest of their lifes.
            • Gość: cracovian Re: american wisdom IP: *.tnt19.atl4.da.uu.net 28.09.02, 09:28
aha... I don't think very low of Poland but I DO NOT take any pride in what's
going on there right now. I’m glad you're proud though - how nice of you to
admit it… I've seen it, I read about it all the time and it's a DUMP. Also,
for whatever reason and I don't care why, people do look and act like they're
pissed off all the time. There's no other more nationalistic, racist, and
pessimistic nation in this world that lives in the past more than the Poles do
relieving all the lost uprisings and battles, and thinking about what things
might have been like if the Mongols or the Germans or the Russians hadn't
kicked their asses at one point in history.

It's time to get on with life, build the future, stop electing thieving
assholes, and stop waiting for giveaways from the government. Also, making fun
of perfectly normal Americans or any other nation for that matter is not
healthy and it doesn't cure the inferiority complex in the long-run.
              • maggie7 Re: american wisdom 29.09.02, 00:16
Cracovian, please, read what I wrote. I said you took pride in living in the
USA, not in Poland... and to clear some things out, I live in the USA, too.

You know what's sad? The fact that real Americans CAN and DO laugh at
themselves while you take the jokes so seriously... why is it so, MR. AMERICAN
                BOY?

How about open trade, open borders, open and stable government, and being able
to make choices for yourself and do whatever you please with your life?

Almost 10 million new people have come to the States from all over the world
in the past decade - the largest numerical influx of immigrants ever. Half of
them own their homes now and it's not like they'll be going back to India,
China, Pakistan, the Middle East, and whatever country in Europe or Africa
          they came from.

So please do yourselves a favor and stop bringing up stupid topics demeaning
pretty much everyone in this world including yourselves. Instead, keep
learning the language, stand in line some more, and you might be able to find
out for yourself why the US is as cool as it is :-)

I cannot remember reading more generalized propagandist
bovine excrement condensed in two short paragraphs in
years. Open trade with some $500 billion current account
deficit - that's a real blessing for all of us, right?
Some $47 trillion worth of derivatives hanging over your
head? You work in a bank and you don't know it? Did you
know that nowadays, if borders were closed to the one-way
trade, the 280-million nation wouldn't be able to put
together a simple automobile? Is that the accomplishment
of the "open and stable" government that hides behind
barbed wires? What are they afraid of? FEC is an open
institution, right? When was the last time you walked
down Pennsylvania Ave? When was the last time you crossed
the US border? Did you enjoy it? Have you ever been to
towns - ghosts on the east coast, once striving
communities, now deserted? The people just decided to
move to improve the work force mobility statistics,
right? Who made the choices for them? If you believe what
you are saying, you are nuts. People "buy" homes for
borrowed money and will be paying it back for long years
to come. Almost 90% of them. They owe, they own half of
nothing, or nothing. And don't tell me about waiting in
line. You are the Johnny-come-lately type, not me. Pull
the wool off your eyes and start looking. With effort
even the clueless can think. Your demeaning false
            patriotism will not do it.

If you dont freaking live in the culture you're trying to describe/opinionate
or just put down, don't do it at all.

Don't trust what you see or hear about something so distant as 10,000 km, at
least. Media and other bias people with their narrow opinions which should not
be interpreted but experienced, if possible. All I can tell you, and after
living a couple of year in the States, is that American culture is not that
easy to describe and cannot be put into a labeled box. American society is a
compillation of millions of people that constantly arrive leave (they travel a
lot), and migrate within the country (average American moves 2.6 times in
his/her lifetime, and it's not moving "down the block" but to another part of
        the country, or even world).

So, if you wanna talk about how American culture is, then come down, life a
life, become the culture, and then talk.

Kids don't know shit? Sure. Are they book smart? No.
Are they street smart? You better believe it.
Is there a better place to live than US? Come over, learn the language,
get to know people, get out of the ghetto and then be forced to go back. I'd
      like to see that.
      That be it.
