Like & As if

Czy w języku pisanym dopuszczalne jest "Like" w znaczeniu "As if"? I jakiego
czasu częsciej się używa po tym zwrocie, Past Simple czy Present Simple?

Well, having learnt English in the good old days of 'quality', I'd say
that "as if" (=as though) preceding the past subjunctive to show improbability
or doubt - "He behaves as if he owned..." - should never be replaced by 'like'
neither in speech or writing.
I know people say "He behaves like he owned..." but that's incorrect in my
opinion.

Now, my example refered to the present situation. If you want to express doubt
ref. to the past(real or imaginary) you must use past perfect:
"He talks about Paris as if he had been there..."
