Since you are still in Poland, I am not sure where you want to find these. Although I am outside your generation, I would recommend trying the DVDs of Men Behaving Badly (Niegrzeczni faceci) and Absolutely Fabulous (Absolutnie fantastyczne), both of which had wide age appeal. Men Behaving Badly was published with magazines and may be available on the market stalls and other places selling cheap DVDs. "Ab Fab" is a normal BestFilm release; they also publish other popular BBC comedies.

Nowadays everything you want you can find in the internet, there are many
websites where you can watch series online so it is not problem to me even if I
still live in Poland, so I just need names of these serials, the british accent
is very important to me, I need recommendation and it doesn't matter if you
think you are outside sb's generation

          Well,
with BBC iPlayer you watch at the moment Doctor Who or Being Human.
Gavin&Stacy is SUPERB!!!! (real English language and series is quite
          funny).
If you like different "kinds" of English and a bit of laugh search
for Catherine Tate Show. Little Britain is something you should enjoy
although ppl. who do not know Britain and England might not catch up
          all the jokes.
If you are not only interested in British English there is a plenty
of different series at hulu (new Lost, new 24, Human Target, etc)

I was back in England for a week and watched some television, but it was all complete rubbish. However, Eastenders reminded me of the range of accents that you might come across when you are working. You might want to watch an episode to hear some.

Well, it is slightly "Off Topic" but few days ago I have watched on
BBC (you can still catch it with iPlayer I believe) a document - "The
day the emigrants left". Quite amusing :-) Especially the part where
one bloke called in sick the first day he was supposed to start work.
Like I was still in my old job in London :-) With English guys you
were never sure if they will show up... :-(

This was the only programme I watched all the way through. I particularly found it interesting in the way that a very cheap and superficial BBC programme was presented as important social comment and investigation.

However, it did remind me of a tip for starting as a waitress: get a copy of the menu before you start (and when it changes) and learn what it contains. That way you will be able to know what you are doing. The programme shows what can happen if you don't.

As much as it is a good advice! I'd say it is also quite obvious one :-) Especially considering that most of us (Poles) starting with this kind of jobs in UK are usually quite smart.

One thing struck me though and I do feel quite bad for English working-class. Considering that a lot of Poles, Czechs, etc... in UK are doing jobs way below their qualifications (and are determined to do it well and keep it) there is now way an uneducated person can compete. It is quite obvious that even for a simple job an employer will choose a smart, educated person over uneducated. So, in a way... "we" are stealing jobs as competition is unfair or a bit uneven.

Although I do not think you can draw any wider conclusions from the programme, it occurred to me that, as you say, many of the immigrants were more determined to do the job well and keep it. However, most importantly, this was said to start on the first day of the job. (Like you thinking it is obvious to know the menu beforehand). The Brits seemed to expect a period of training and learning while they were doing the job, with early low performance being completely acceptable and obvious.

Even so, I am not convinced that an employer would normally want a highly educated person to put bags of potatoes into boxes all day or to cut asparagus in the field: jobs the Norfolk workers had major problems with. I could have understand aching muscles, but they didn't seem to get that far.

I do agree with you on above :-) Someone either wants a job or not, it
is really that simple. All I have to say (from my own experience) is
that if an employer has two people for the job, both determined 100%
to do their best but on of them is smarter (usually dumb people do not
have a degree although I will agree that every rule has exceptions) he
will choose the one with a higher education (most of the time, again).

                        A Champion Team - McLaren F1.
Two British World Champions behind wheel.

Who will be the most favourite driver this year for English people?
                        Lewis or Jenson?

                        Who will be the fastest?

All I hope is that F1 will be available to watch on-line with BBC One.

Well, any kind of Polish degree means nothing to most employers I've
had the contact with, for they say that they don't know this school,
so they treat Polish M.A's or M.S's (magistrów) as completly
uneducated folk what is unfortunately corroborated by their poor
language knowledge and stupid look. So, my friend engineer was once
told that he couldn't use a grinder or a driller for he hadn't a
training (the guy who can repair any tool of this kind...) and the
other one was forbidden any contact with computers because the
employer thought that in Poland there is not such a thing as a
computer, so my friend might damage it; the guy was actually
programmist and had had assembled his own PC from spare parts.

I would recommend "The Inbetweeners" - v.funny and I guarantee
teenagers will like it. There is also "Skins", which is darker and
heavier. I'm not too keen on "Skins" myself, but it might appeal
      to older teenagers.
