Sorry, maybe my english is poor but I don't know such an idiom. Maybe you are
in 'bacówka' in Tatry/Beskidy/Sudety mountains but maybe you wanna say that you
want to 'thank in anticipation' or 'in advance' [dziękujesz z góry]. I've
guessed it I don't know your intensions and I'm not malicious. I'm only trying
to help speaking/writing more or less fluent and I'm glad when someone corrects
      me. That's why I ask...

I'm sure he must have been joking.
Don't you know "a whole killed with planks" :-)?
However, learning too many of such "idioms" may cause that
unfortunately we'll use them by accident.

If it was a joke (I was thinking about it when I wrote that I don't know
intensions) - it lacked for me ';-)' emoticon which would explain it. But just
in case I was writing about it. On the other hand someone who needs learning
CAE should know some idioms among other things this one!!!
          >>"Thank you from the mountain" and now "a whole killed planks" amused me a
lot!!! :-)))))))) I didn't know taht anyone could write his way - but there
are good jokes. Thank you (from the mountain ;-) for my being amused ;-)
