jones Re: LANUGUAGE SCHOOLS IN CANADA 03.10.02, 21:06 You have 2 choices: 1. try to get in one of the schools providing ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to immigrants. Inexpensive, some are quite good. Stay away from schools in Polish areas unles you want to spend time and energy practising your Polish. Most of the schools will ask for your landed papers to prove your status in Canada. If you are not an immigrant, they won't take you. Some are flexible and won't ask especially if the enrolment is low. Summer months are very busy. Some schools will have a separate program for visitors, they will charge you a couple of hundreds$ for a month (5 days a week, usually 9 to 2:30pm), the level will be mixed, the crowd - international. 2. If you have $ to spend, you may be interested in programs for visitors offered via colleges. Try Humber College, George Brown college, Sheridan College. You may try University of Toronto or York University - they all have websites. It will be expensive. There are also private schools, I have never dealt with one so I cannot provide any suggestions Good luck J Odpowiedz Link Zgłoś
