"English is a crazy language
And of course we all know about it .
There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger,
Neither apple or pine in pineapple.
Boxing rings are square.
We ship by truck and send cargo by ship.
We have noses that run and feet that smell.
How come a slim chance and a fat chance be the same ,
While a wise man and wise guys are opposites.
You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of
A language in which your house can burn up as it burns down,

I quit my job few days ago, as my contract is finishing in the end of this
month which is great. The thing is, there's a custom in that place to have a
farewell party. Staff collects the money and than buy the gift for the
leaving person. What worries me is the bye bye speach. Should I thank
everybody, people that supported me ( excluding the old tart manager)or say
nothing? What should I say than, please help me out!

proszę o poprawienie błędów ;)
a temat był: Opisz miejsce, które znacznie zmieniło się w ciągu ostatnich
lat, przedstawiając jego wygląd w przeszłości i obecnie.
I like my room. It is like a part of me. This place was changed very much in
the last years. It always has changed along with me.
My room is in the attic. It is quite big and spatial. It is by far bigger
than peaces of my friends. This garret was all made by my dad. Every little
thing he did on his own.

better than earlier. My Englishteacher (razem czy osobno?) was super
too! He was patient and very nice. For me he was an ideal teacher. I
have met in this course a lot of (?) interesting people - we get in
touch (per e-mails and sms - jaka jest liczba ...

"To contemplate war is to think about the most horrible of human experiences.
On this February day, as this nation stands at the brink of battle, every
American on some level must be contemplating the horrors of war.
"Yet, this Chamber is, for the most part, silent -- ominously, dreadfully
silent. There is no debate, no discussion, no attempt to lay out for the
nation the pros and cons of this particular war. There is nothing.
"We stand passively mute in the United States Se...

Well,
December is closer and closer and so are the Cambridge exams.
I've decided to take CPE though I'm not sure whether I'm already ready ;) for
that. But still, I'm a risk-taker and the only thing I might lose is good
humour and almost 600 zloty :)
Anyway, I've got a question to those who are already through with those
exams. What should I pay attention to? What - in your opinion - is the most
difficult part of this exam? And one more thing - is it worth reading those
books yo...
