Palestinian woman held in hoax bomb threat on Temple Mount

Police arrested a 30-year-old Palestinian woman from Jericho on Sunday after
she threatened to blow herself up on the Temple Mount, though it turned out
that to be a hoax.

The woman entered the compound in Jerusalem and accosted some police
officers, shouting at them "Allahu Akhbar," and threatening to detonate
explosives she claimed to have in her hand bag.

Police overcame her and found there was no bomb in the bag, then arrested
here, a spokesman said.

The woman said she had staged the hoax in hopes that she would be killed
because of a dispute with her parents, police said.
