can you pls tell me what he meant by "now i stand before you as the president"
did he mean "... in front of you..."? i always thought you use BEFORE in
connection with time.

              indeed, your comment would not be necessary had you looked at the explanation and apology for the error

              as for dictionaries, try this one when looking for the meaning of before www.thefreedictionary.com/before - notwithstanding, no dictionary can teach you a language - you have to live it and feel it

              and by the way, how typical of someone who just begins to learn the lingua franca to attempt to criticise someone who speaks it as a native tongue - long live Obama!!
