First of all please forgive me for choosing to use English
instead of Polish, but English is the language that I use
professionally, where Polish wouldn't make me feel sure of my
grammatical correctness.
This time I am applying to you to open , hopefully , a debate
about university in Poland and Italy, not to judge which of the
two is the better, but to know and understand better how
things work in
your country.
1) For example, I have been told by some Poles that university
oral exams in Poland are generally taken with the closed doors
(unlike Italy, where all oral exams are public and taken with
the open doors).
Is this true?If so, what percentage of Polish students take oral
exams with the closed doors?
2)How do university taxes and books function in Poland? In Italy
they are very high and most books are expensive .
3)What happens to a student that cannot pass all the exams of a
given year? What happens in Italy is simply scandalous:his
university life can last until 30 years of age or longer, if he
can't pass some exams in time.
4) Does a Polish student have a right to any discounts all over
Poland? If so, what?In Italy no discount is granted to a student.
Thanks a lot.
