I 'm Polish but live in Russia:

"Hello, my name is Natalie Drozd, I 'm Polish but live in Russia, St-
Petersburg and I never been in Poland. But last summer a friend of mine was
there and he said that Polish hate Russians. I can't believe it. I know that
Polish is a proud nation but it's hard for me to believe that Polish and
Russians are enemies. I want to know( espesially I want to hear it from
Polish) - is this true? Are you really hate Russians?

wycieczke po Europie moj znajomy. Odwiedzil Niemcy i pociagiem przyjechal do
Polski. Sprawdzajac jego austarlijski paszport straznik graniczny zdziwiony
trudnym, acz polskim nazwiskiem zadal pytanie , kiedy Pan wyjechal z Polski.
Odpowiedz byla piekna polszczyzna: nigdy prosze Pana, bo ja urodzilem sie na
wschodzie, przed 1939, a facet wyglada na nie wiecej niz 50 i obywatelstwa
polskiego pozbawil nas Stalin. Rozmowa byla dluzsza bo SG poinformowal, ze moze
sie starac o polski paszport.
Ciekawe , ze stosowane sa podwojne miary Polakom mieszkajcym w Rosji i innych
nie oferuje sie takiej mozliwosci, ale gdy t5ylko taki Polak pojawi sie w AU,
USA, NZ lub w Kanadzie natychmiast otwiera sie przed nim mozliwosc
potwierdzenia obywatelstwa i otrzymania paszportu RP."

Poland & Russia; two enemies

Natalie,
Sorry to dissapoint you but Poland and Russia have been enemies for the most
part of our 1000 plus years of history. I'm not suprised that you're
disapointed, but Russia has always been conspicuous(not honest) about its real
relationship with Poland. Russians and Poles killed each other in larger
numbers that any two neighboring countries in the World. But the latest 3
centuries it was Polish citizens that were killed and persecuted by Russia and
Soviet Union. It might come to you as a suprise but Poles prefer Germans more
than Russians, because Germans have shown that they have changed for better,
and even if they invaded Poland in WWII they have admited it, Russia on the
other hand still says lies that it has "liberated" Poland in 1945, but the
truth is that Soviets invaded Poland on 17 September 1939, two weeks after
Germans invaded Poland. Soviets took 1/3 of our territory after WWII, Stalin
ordered killings of 60 000 of polish officers, governement workers and
inteligensia in Katyn, Ostaszkow.
Now, can you blame us we don't love you guys?

TO NIE JEST PRAWDA. POLACY NIE LUBia SYSTMU POLITYCZNEGO NARZUCONEGO PRZEZ
ROSJE ale nic nie maja przeciwko Rosjanom. Ja osobiscie bardzo sobie cenie
wszelkie kontakty z Rosjanami, sa goscinni, zyczliwi i otwarci. Jako
spoleczenstwo sa wyksztalceni i oczytani. Trzeba tez pamietac ile istnien
ludzkich pochlonelo wyzwolenie nas z pod okupacji hitlerowskiej

Ok, majority of Russian folks might be friendly towards Poles and Poland,
Russian and Soviet rulers quite the oposite, always lead wars against Poland
and wanted to subjecate Poles.
Sure I would agree that Rusians are relatively smart and educated nation, still
the damages that Russian State have caused Poland was immense.
The whole national archive of Poland went into flames, arts and cultural
artifacts were destroyed...Is that in your opinion how two Slav nations should
treat each other. To make the story short, Russia always fought with Poland
over the right to be a leading Slav nation. Poland always stood in Russia's way
in achieving that goal so we had to pay heavy price....Czechs on the other hand
were satisfied with being led by others, so Russians and Germans didn't have to
burn down their town and capitals...

Soviets destroyed Polish nation by exiling most intelligent people to Siberia.
So many valuable Poles died - the aim was to leave uneducated people with no
spirit to fight.

well, according to Russian "history" textbooks Poland is a friend that Russia
always saved from the "enemy". Russian kids also learn at school that Poland is
a bortherly Slav nation that doesn't appreciate Russia's protection.
According to Stalin the missing 500 000 Poles that he actually ordered to be
killed; "Perheaps escaped to Manjuria" that's what he told Gen. Sikorski in 1942
